Field Update: > The FCRCFC field now has a new shelter and two runways! The new runway is a shorter "Y" off the south end of the main runway, and should make westerly X-wind takeoffs and landings much easier, especially for lighter aircraft. Both runways have been graded, drill-seeded and fertilized. The shelter required about four hours of work over four weekends. Many thanks to Charlie Bishop and his team for this effort, and to the members, friends and neighbors who provided the expertise, labor, supplies and equipment to upgrade the FCRCFC runways. Thank you! > Members: For a detailed field update and "thank you" from Dave Beazley, please visit the Members' Page (20080901). Welcome to the Fluvanna County Radio Control Flying Club (FCRCFC). We are a non-profit organization that enjoys building and flying model aircraft.
The public is welcome to attend our club meetings that occur on the 4th Monday of every month. Meetings are held at the Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad building at 7:30 PM except in the summer when they are held at our flying field. The public is also welcome to join us at our flying field for yearly events or as a guest of a club member. Our field is located right next to the Fluvanna County Landfill off of Route 6. Click here for directions and a map to our field. Access our field rules here.
If you are interested in joining FCRCFC, please contact one of the following members listed below for further information. To become a club member, you must join the Academy of Model Aeronautics and only club qualified pilots may fly at the field by themselves.
