FCRCFC

Welcome to the Fluvanna County Radio Control Flying Club (FCRCFC). We are a non-profit organization that enjoys building and flying model aircraft. The public is welcome to attend our club meetings that occur on the 4th Monday of every month. Meetings are held at the Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad building at 7:30 PM. The public is also welcome to join us at our flying field for yearly events or as a guest of a club member. Our field is located right next to the Fluvanna County Landfill off of Route 6. Click here for directions and a map to our field. Access our field rules here. If you are interested in joining FCRCFC, please see the contact page for further information. To become a club member, you must join the Academy of Model Aeronautics and only club qualified pilots may fly at the field by themselves. Club and AMA membership information and forms can be found at the Club Information page.

We will celebrate National Model Aviation Day Saturday September 13 from 10 AM to 3 PM.  The Academy of Model Aeronautics has again partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and encouraged clubs to incorporate fundraising activities in their events.  The FCRCFC will be accepting donations from the pilots and guests in a collection box during the event.  In addition, we will encourage people to use the "donate" button below to make donations to the WWP.  On or about September 25th, all the money in this FCRCFC PayPal account will be transferred into our bank, combined with proceeds from the September 13th event, and a check sent to the AMA for the Wounded Warrior Project.  Please donate generously to this organization that does so much for those who have done so much for our country.

Radio Control Piloting for Animal Welfare Shindig (RC-PAWS), was held Saturday June 14th on a picture perfect day for flying. The event was a major fundraiser for three animal welfare organizations right here in Fluvanna County.   Over 100 people out to see some great flying, enjoy lunch provided by two local caterers, and meet representatives (including dogs and cats) from all three beneficiaries.  A listing of sponsors, raffle prizes, and links to the beneficiaries can be found by clicking here.
